Welcome to the world Carson Lee! You, and your ‘rents, are a beautiful trio. Thank you for asking me to come capture this brand new, special time in your lives — it’s an honor. New babies are exhausting, am I right mamas? And adorable. And a challenge for first-time parents. Do we swaddle? Do we breast feed? How do we know if we are doing XYZ right? You don’t. But, the secret that NO ONE TELLS YOU, is this: everyone is winging it. Everyone. Is that baby growing? Is it happy? Good job! You are winning at this parenting thing. All things I’m reminding myself of for baby two, arriving in October.
Real life ... 💯 percent, this is how I feel editing photos of my favorite three favorite Taylors. Why? I love them all ... So VERY much. But, their skin tones are REALLY HARD to make look good in the same photo. B is very tan, Damon has red tones, and Elsie is still new, pale and pink. Add in changing light as the morning sun traveled through the trees. 🤨 It fo-sho made me cull a little harder, pre-edit. But, I love them. So, I tried really hard. 🧡 {Also, B knows ... she laughed, hard, when I shared.} Follow #kbyecancer for Brooke’s story. She’s a warrior new mom who was diagnosed with breast cancer on delivery day. It’ll give you all the feels; trust me, I’ve felt ‘em all. She’s also the strongest person I’ve ever known, and has a gift with the words, so prepare to be inspired. 💪🏼
This. This is what love looks like. These two crazy kids have been dating for one year, today, and are saying “I do” in September. There’s such a radiating joy from both Molly and Kris when they are together ... I truly cannot wait to watch their future unfold. 🧡

It’s. Your. Wedding. Day. We cannot wait to celebrate with you, Macee and Drew!
A hazy college town dance floor. A southwest Oklahoma college freshman, wearing her go-to Rios boots. A strategically empty dance card playing second fiddle to five straight. She studies the dance floor, judging ever so lightly on the spectrum of talent. A southeast Oklahoma senior, sweat glistening from his muscled arms, wearing wing-tip Anderson Beans. She pulls him to the dance floor - a statement, never a question. He jokes. She laughs. Their homes are more than 200 miles away in opposite directions, but for a moment, he makes the historic wood planks giving way to the overcrowded college kids feel like exactly where they’re supposed to be. In the last decade, we have Moved more times than I can count. Been to more concerts and on more road-trips than I’ll ever remember. Lived so much life. Faced a number of life-altering trials. Become parents. Laughed. Argued. Cried. Danced. Loved All of which I truly can’t imagine with anyone else. Happy anniversary, Cody. Thanks for ‘officially’ putting up with me for a decade. Thanks for being flirty and making me roll my eyes, making me feel pretty even when I haven’t showered, for getting the snacks at the convenience store and the dessert when you don’t want to, and being a great dad.
